The Yoe FFA Chapter in Cameron received a $2,500 donation from Kenny and Michelle Kostroun through the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program sponsored by the Monsanto Fund.
The program gives farmers the opportunity to win $2,500 for a local nonprofit organization of their choice.
Cameron Yoe FFA Vice President Tyler Vrazel said, “We are grateful to have Mrs. Kostroun think of the FFA. It’s great to have the support of the community behind us.”
The $2,500 donation was awarded Wednesday, Jan. 30, during a ceremony at C.H. Yoe High School. Kenny and Michelle Kostroun, of Cameron, and Monsanto representative Miles Merrick presented the check to Yoe FFA members and sponsor Lana McDermott.
“We appreciate the Kostrouns choosing our FFA program as a recipient,” said C.H. Yoe High School Principal Kenneth Driska. “The money will be put to great use helping fund projects, competitions and scholarships. Agriculture is a large industry in Cameron and this will definitely help us sustain that.”
America’s Farmers Grow Communities is a program sponsored by the Monsanto Fund to recognize the contributions farmers make to help grow their local communities.
