Once again the arena is full of thousands of FFA members going crazy, only this time it's not for Kyle Park, but for the amazing Texas FFA Chorus. The Chorus consists of selected Texas FFA members that have come together as one to sing for their fellow members.
Two days before convention, 37 FFA members come together and start practicing for multiple performances. The Chorus is dedicated to hitting each note just right with the help of the director Jeanna Baibos. Baibos has worked with the Chorus for nine years. She spent five years as a accompanist, then later became the Texas FFA chorus director.
“The Chorus is like a family,” said Mattie Bennett of Burkburnett FFA. “As soon as we get to convention we're already laughing, so when we leave it's hard because we're like family.”

FFA Chorus members practice everyday making sure they know every word and every key by heart.
“In order to apply, you go to our Texas FFA Web site,” said Chanelle Davis of Burleson FFA. “Send in a CD with a song you have recorded and get a teacher recommendation.”
Out of all the members who applied, 37 were selected to be apart of the 2010 state convention. Those who would like to be apart of the Chorus next year must apply online.
We congratulate those of you on the Chorus and thank you for making the 82nd annual Texas FFA Convention a great success.
