The Texas FFA Association participated in the third annual FFA Night with the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park in Houston last month.
Through attendance and FFA members’ participation in stadium activities, the Texas FFA continued to raise awareness about FFA to a diverse audience.
Before the game against the Texas Rangers, four of the Texas FFA State Officers participated in pregame activities on the field. State President Blake Vineyard from Area I, State Vice President Clayton Dumesnil from Area III, State Vice President Jodi Cockrell from Area IX and State Vice President Madeline Minchillo from Area V were introduced on the field in honor of FFA Night.
“Being on the field representing the Texas FFA in front of all those baseball fans was a major honor,” Dumesnil said. “The FFA provides numerous opportunities to students, and it was great to interact with other Texas members during the game.”
