During the sixth general session of the Texas FFA State Convention, the top four candidates for State President and State First Vice President were announced.

Every candidate is to take a chapter agricultural quiz, partake in a behavioral interview, submit a writing sample and give an election speech in front of the Texas FFA delegation.

During the fifth general session all ten candidates gave their speeches and the first round of votes were taken in to account for selecting the final four.

Ryan Prindle from Area VII and Cedar Park FFA, Gracie Hedrick from Area VIII and Groesbeck FFA, Zach McMeans from Area II and Gail FFA and Jeb Hogan from Area III and Franklin FFA were selected as the top four individuals for making the travel team.

The four candidates gave their runoff speeches to the delegation only allowed 60 seconds to leave a lasting impression on Texas FFA.

The travel team will be announced on the morning of July 17 in the last session and will lead the organization for the following year.
