Celebrate the abundance that agriculture supplies us every day during National Agriculture Week, March 19-23, 2018! This is the perfect time to bring awareness to agriculture across the nation.

In this short guide you’ll find the must-have tools to plan a dynamic week. Get with a group of your fellow members and use this information to sketch out events, ignite excitement around agriculture, and maximize your National Agriculture Week activities to make them better than ever.

Celebrate Thank a Farmer Day on Monday, March 19th
The American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture is encouraging students to write notes to farmers. It is a personal way to thank an American farmer or rancher!
For more information check out American Farm Bureau Foundation.

Celebrate National Agriculture Day on Tuesday, March 20th
Americans need to understand the value of agriculture in their daily lives. National Agriculture Day is a time when producers, agricultural associations, corporations, universities, government agencies and countless others across America gather to recognize and celebrate the abundance provided by agriculture.

The Agriculture Council of America and its supporters assembled several resources to help you celebrate, such as educational resources and helpful websites

Educate and Advocate Through Local Media or Social Media
Keep your community up-to-date through social media with facts about agriculture and the FFA. There are some great shareable resources on MyTexasFFA.org!

Another option is to communicate with your local media outlets (newspapers, radio stations, television stations, etc.) Tell them about National Agriculture Week and highlight the many ways the industry affects our daily lives.

Tell Your Agriculture Story

Help bring attention to the great things farmers and ranchers do by participating in the #AgDay social media campaign. All week, the campaign encourages people to flood social media with the positive ways agriculture is continuously making the world a better place.  There are some great post ideas that can be found in this Agriculture Council of America (ACA) Social Media Guide.

Remember to check out FFA Literacy and Advocacy for ways on how to advocate for agriculture year-round!
