Congratulations to all those who participated in leadership development events this fall. 857 chapters participated in LDE’s or nearly 85% of Texas FFA chapters. This is the greatest number of participating chapters since Texas FFA started tracking LDE participation data from the district level in 2000. 5,041 entries participated in 57 district events. Eight events participation high marks: Greenhand Quiz (530), Greenhand Skill Demonstration (232), Senior Creed (700), Senior Quiz (588), Senior Skill Demonstration (340), Public Relations (330) and Job Interview (447). Agricultural Issues Forum had 157 teams statewide, not a high mark, but the greatest number of participating teams since 2003. Greenhand creed had 612 entries statewide, Greenhand chapter conducting: 242; Senior Chapter Conducting: 242 and radio broadcast: 621. The 2010 LDE’s finals results are listed below.
