A banquet honoring the class of 2010 Ford Leadership Scholars was held on Tuesday, January 4th, in Austin, Texas.  There were about 80 individuals in attendance comprised of scholars, their parents and mentors, advisors, agricultural education state staff, representatives of Ford Motor Company, FFA Foundation and Association board members and other guests.

The events of the day included a Foundation “Welcome Reception” held in the Texas FFA Ford Leadership Center, a display of the Ford Scholars' projects, and a banquet held at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Austin.

During the Foundation's “Welcome Reception,” the Ford Leadership Scholars and the Texas FFA State Officers showcased the Texas FFA Ford Leadership Center to visiting Ford VIPs and Ford Leadership Scholar Mentors.

Following the "Welcome Reception," the Ford Leadership Scholars showcased their projects through exhibit-style booths in the Terrace room of the Capitol Sheraton Hotel. Ford representatives, mentors, parents and special guests toured the exhibits asking the students questions about their projects one-on-one.
